Lead vocalist for the progressive metal band Periphery who have released 6 charting albums and an EP between 2010 and 2019. He replaced original vocalist Chris Barretto in January of 2010, three months before the release of the band’s debut, self-titled studio album. He also became the lead vocalist of the post-hardcore band From First To Last for the record Dead Trees, but did not return after the record’s release. Spencer also developed a side project called The Mothership in which he became the principal songwriter. This later evolved into the band King Mothership, formed of himself, fellow Periphery bandmate Matt Halpern, and former Slaves member Tyler “Tai” Wright. They released their first album, “The Ritual” in October 2020. He is a native of San Diego, California.
