Spectre General was the alternate name for the band Kick Axe, a Canadian rock group from the 1980’s. The band consisted of George Criston (vocals), Larry Gillstrom (lead guitar), Raymond Harvey (lead guitar), Brian Gillstrom (drums), and Victor Langen (bass guitar). They changed their due to legal reasons being that Kick Axe is a play on the phrase kick ass and censors may not let that fly for a PG rated movie. After the Transformers Movie their name was changed back to Kick Axe and they are active to this day
