SoulExtract are an alternative rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, who combine their music with electronic and cinematic elements highly reminiscent of https://genius.com/artists/Starset.

They are a charity-supporting music project started in 2013 in hopes of sharing music with the world for a good cause.

From their own official biography, they explain their origins:

My wife and I adopted our daughter back in 2012 from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. She was born with myelomeningocele, the most severe form of Spina Bifida. This birth defect affects the spine and spinal cord and many children end up incontinent and/or unable to walk. […] We later found that New Day Foster Home was responsible for repairing her spinal cord.

And as for their musical inspiration and name, they offer the following:

To me, music is a very strange, mysterious force that drives our emotions into many directions. It can give us courage, or drive us to tears. With this knowledge, I believe the music we create is the very essence of our being, in its purest form. If our soul was constructed of particles, the extracted particles would contain the foundation of who we are.
