Sophie Cates, (fka Silver Sphere), is a singer and songwriter from Chicago, currently based in Los Angeles. She describes her music as “pop with unexpected other influences every once and a while”, citing influences including Taylor Swift, The 1975, and Charli XCX.

She signed a joint deal with Little Worry / RCA Records in 2020, but since 2021 has been releasing music independently under her own name.
