Soft Drinks was a British punk band, formed in November 1979 as a one-off by brothers Jon and Lee Greville.
The band got it’s name from the venue’s ticket, where they had “Soft Drinks” printed in a manner similar to a bands name.
With “verses as meaningful as they are meaningless…” and “churning melodies…”, Soft Drinks presented an interestingly upbeat take on punk.
Soft Drinks were:
Martin “Drooper” Cooper on vocals
Cliff Silver on korg synth
Lee Greville on wasp synth
Jon Greville on drums
