About Snakehips

Electronic/R&B blend producing duo from the UK. Snakehips consists of two producers from the UK, Oliver Lee and James Carter.

After meeting in 2012 in Hong Kong while working on separate projects at a famous bar, Sake Bar Ginn. The two bonded over similar musical tastes and eventually worked together in a UK studio. They shot to fame in late 2015 and early 2016, when they released All My Friends featuring American artists Tinashe and Chance the Rapper. The track reached number 5 on the UK Singles Charts and number 34 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

Since their breakthrough, they’ve released several other songs featuring big name artists, including Anderson .Paak, Zayn, and Joey Bada$$. Their 2016 track with MØ, of Lean On fame, entitled Don’t Leave, received widespread attention and gained over 140 million listens on Spotify.
