About Smoke Blow

A multi-headed beast of a hard rock band hailing from Kiel, Germany, Smoke Blow drew inspiration from acts such as the Rolling Stones, Saint Vitus, The Cure, and Black Flag. The group also counted the infamous G.G. Allin as an influence, exhuming the dead gross-out punker’s spirit at their live shows. The band – Jack Letten – vocals, MC Straßenköter – vocals, Kentucky – guitar, Greif Hellhammer – bass, and Fabrizio – drums – released their first slab of material in 1999, entitled Smoke’s A-blowin' Black As Coal. They rang in the the new century with 777 Bloodrock, and followed that up with 2001’s Punkadelic – The Godfather of Soul, 2003’s German Angst, and 2005’s Dark Angel. Smoke Blow kept quiet for a short time, before returning to continue the sonic pummeling with 2008’s Colossus. The band went right to work shortly after to release 2010’s The Record.
