In 2008, guitarist Benjamin “Banjo” Yennebo and drummer Isak Snow met at a rehearsal point and, after playing together, decided to form their own band. Later they were joined by vocalist Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye, guitarist Per Bergquist and bass guitarist Victor “Wirre” Widlund. From garage rehearsals, the band moved on to performances in local pubs, and already in 2009 made the first serious breakthrough by taking part in the show “Talang” (the Swedish version of Got Talent). The band reached the semifinals, but decided to leave the competition for a contract with the label Ninetone Records.
The collaboration did not last long — after releasing only one single Fading, the musicians terminated the contract and continued to record songs and tour independently. Finally, in 2012, Smash Into Pieces became members of the Gain/Sony Music label, and in the same year won the Breakthrough 2012 nomination at the annual award of the Swedish radio station Bandit Rock.
After releasing their second album. Isak Snow announced that he isn’t the drummer of SIP anymore. Instead of him the drummer’s place was taken by The Apocalypse DJ (APOC)
Later after releasing their third album Victor Vidlund also leaved the band
