About Slippy

Alex Swartwout, better known as Slippy and formerly known as Slips & Slurs, debuted on Monstercat in 2015 with “Divided,” an instant hit that separated itself from other songs. It eventually led to “Divided VIP” which was released on the 5 Year Anniversary album. His other songs, such as “Vicimus,” “Malicious” and “WiFi Tears” (in which he collaborated with Mihka!) have each been equally as unique as the next. In 2017, he collaborated with Harry Shotta, an extremely talented British rapper, to create “Moving Hectic.”

On Feburary 17, 2018, Swartwout released a video on his Facebook page announcing he would be changing his name from Slips & Slurs to Slippy. Slippy started out as a joke and was even “mistakenly” put in the title of the Youtube video for “Moving Hectic” until it was later changed. Slippy’s first track under his changed alias was “Promise Me”.
