About Sleigh Bells

Sleigh Bells is an American noisepop/experimental band from Brooklyn, New York. Characterized by its loud and raucous nature, their music features earth-shattering percussion and bass production, white-hot guitar riffs and syrup-sweet R&B vocals. Sleigh Bells defies categorization with this unique melting pot of sounds.

The band formed in 2008 when Derek Miller (formerly of the hardcore band Poison the Well) encountered Alexis Krauss (formerly of the fabricated teen girl band Rubyblue) in a restaurant where he worked at the time. Krauss' mother had mentioned to Derek that Alexis had previously done some vocal work, Miller took the opportunity to bring her aboard, and the rest is history.

The band has released four full-length albums (2010’s Treats, 2012’s Reign of Terror, 2013’s Bitter Rivals, 2016’s Jessica Rabbit ) and one “mini-LP” (2017’s Kid Kruschev ).
