Clarence Alexander “Skip” Scarborough (1944-2003) was an incredibly talented songwriter and producer primarily active during the 1970s and 1980s. Some of his biggest songs he wrote include “Can’t Hide Love” and “Love’s Holiday” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Love Ballad” by LTD, “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers, “Love Changes” by Mother’s Finest, and “Giving You the Best I Got” by Anita Baker, which he co-wrote with her and won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song in 1988.
