Sitara is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Ajmer, India, and moved to the U.S.A. as they got older to pursue music.
Sitara used to go by Jzzy, but after consideration, she changed her artist name.

“Growing up in Ajmer, I always struggled with my identity, being half Indian and half American. Being called a foreigner my whole life just because I didn’t look Indian enough. But as I get older, I’m unlearning those insecurities. My new artist name is Sitara. It’s Indian, and it brings me closer to who I am and where I come from. She has been publishing music since 2020, but wrote her debut song under Sitara in 2025 with the song “BANG BANG KISS KISS”.
