Siraq is gang and drill music group based in the Somerleyton Estate in Brixton, SW9. They go by names such as Siru, GAS Siru (formerly), MZ, Murderzone and 727. The gang originated in 2013 after GAS Gang split up, the Somerleyton (Siraq) set began to beef the Angell Town set (150). The actual origins of gangs on the Somerleyton Estate precede that by many years, the first gang called Murderzone was founded in the mid 2000’s as a “Crip” set, as a part of the growing UK “Crips” and “Bloods” phenomenon. Many rappers such as, Sneakbo, Bellzey, 5Star and others hailed from this gang.

In 2007, Murderzone was one of the sets that made GAS Gang, alongside Tiny OC, Y.28’s and LJ, MZ as a single gang would late fade away.

In 2011, a new gang would rise from Somerleyton, the gang was called GAS Siru, or Siru for short. It was a set of GAS Gang. Bellzey, 5 star, Coops and others were prominent members of this set.

In 2013, a fight broke out between GAS Gang and and others in a hospital, Sneakbo was one of the people arrested, apparently, he wrote a statement snitching on 5 Star, GAS members from Angell Town denied this, whereas GAS members from Somerleyton believed this. This led to GAS Siru splitting off as Siru/727 and GAS becoming GAS 150 or 150. The two gangs began to beef each other.
