Simone Hines (born in Trenton, New Jersey) was a female R&B singer who signed to Epic Records in the late 90’s.

In September of 1997, Simone released her self-titled debut album which didn’t appear to make the Billboard charts at all. The first single, “Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!” was produced by music producer, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. The follow-up single, “Only Fools Fool Around” failed to make the charts. Simone was also a background vocalist on albums by Michael Bolton and Puffy Daddy’s album, “No Way Out.”
In 1998, Simone joined the Backstreet Boys for an appearance on “Soul Train.” She also appeared on the “Soul Train Christmas Starfest” compliation album with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, and James Brown with the track “God Bless the Dreamer.”

According to further research, Simone started working on a follow-up album on an independent record label in 2005, but nothing much had been heard from Simone or the album.

It appeared as if Simone has faded into obscurity, but according to a comment on YouTube, she continues to write music, but is busy raising her children.
