About Sibéal

Sibéal is an Irish singer from the Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht, County Meath, who specializes in the centuries-old melismatic Irish-singing style of sean-nós. She is best known for singing Patrick Cassidy’s arrangement of Irish revolutionary leader Patrick Pearse’s “Mise Éire” at Ireland’s official government centennial commemoration of the 1916 Rising. She is also a member of the collective Irish Women in Harmony.
