Blane Muise, better known by her stage name Shygirl, is a British singer-songwriter, rapper and DJ from South East London. She began releasing music through London-based label NUXXE, founded by friend and primary collaborator Sega Bodega. In 2020, ahead of the release of her ALIAS EP, she signed with French label Because Music, home of fellow NUXXE alum Oklou. Her debut album Nymph was released in 2022.

Aside from her solo work, she is also known for her collaborations with artists including SOPHIE, Arca, ​Mura Masa, FKA twigs and Lady Gaga.
