Shura, born Aleksandra Lilah Denton, is an English singer-songwriter based in New York City. Her electropop/synthpop/new wave stylings make her a niche pop act not unlike Tegan and Sara, with whom she’s previously toured.
After learning to use music production software by way of YouTube videos, Shura recorded and released her debut single, “Touch”, in March 2014. She followed this debut with the release of singles “Just Once” and “Indecision.”
2015 saw the release of two singles – “2Shy” and “White Light” – the latter being accompanied by an EP.
Shura’s debut album, Nothing’s Real, was released on July 8, 2016. It included her first single, “Touch”, originally released two years prior. The album was preceded by the release of a new single, “What’s It Gonna Be?”, which appeared on the album alongside previously released tracks such as “Indecision”, “2Shy” and “White Light”.
Shura's first album White Light EP released on Fri Jul 17 2015.
