shteppi is ISSBROKIE’s alt account, serving as a representation of Stephanie, rather than the persona of BROKIE. Stephanie has posted about her growing tired of the brand and working on her mental health. In an Instagram post she explained her absence, and the reasoning behind the sudden change:

i’m still making art. i’d rather just put out stuff i make as ME while i’m in this healing process… cuz tbh,, using a persona i made when i was 15 as my WHOLE BRAND makes me stressed cuz it doesn’t really feel like MY ART anymore..

i kinda felt trapped in a box of this character i no longer fully resonate with anymore…

shteppi and ISSBROKIE have been divided for a while by Steph, with her having a separate playlist for each linked on her Spotify. She had never released music under a completely different alias though, with the first release being the double single, go to hell. /// right mind. shteppi provides a much more peaceful sound than BROKIE, with calmer instrumentation and less violent lyrics.
