Shontaysia Alburn is an unsigned pop singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Born July 8th, 1992 in Australia, she showed interest in music at a fairly young age. This interest was suppressed by her parents though, who wanted her to follow a more practical dream. Because of this, she had to hide and practice singing whenever they weren’t around, for fear of being scolded. Her parents moved her back and forth between New Zealand and California a lot at a young age, but she eventually decided upon seting her roots down in Sydney after staying there one summer to visit her grandmother.

In 2009, after the death of her grandmother and various other hardships, she was left devastated and alone, with no one to talk to. After an extended bout of depression, she started saving up money to move to Sydney and begin working on her album. Together with producer AJ3 (whom she met on Youtube while she lived in New Zealand) she produced various demos and even put out her first EP (EleKtro EP) in 2010. However, that music was far from the quality they strived for, so they worked hard at developing their talent throughout 2010 and 2011. One of her most well known songs, 60 Seconds In Heaven, was leaked as a Miley Cyrus demo and retitled ‘Breathe On Me.’ On Youtube, it has gotten over 1,000,000 views.

In September 2011, Shontaysia released her second EP (Before The Bite EP). This was the first release in her “Bite” trilogy. The second release, Before The Bite 2: Through The Eyes of Ziara (produced entirely by AJ3), is due to be released May 2012, and the third is coming out in the fall of 2012.
