Emerging from the Allman Brother’s Band first as the trio We Three, Sea Level became fully independent after their parent band disbanded and they gained guitarist Jimmy Nalls. Named after leader and keyboarder Chuck Leavell (C Leavell), the band gained three more members after their debut album, containing bassist Lamar William’s, drummer Jai Johnny Johanson, drummer George Weaver, writer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Randall Bramblett, and guitarist David Causey. After releasing their second album Cats on the Coast, both drummers departed and were replaced by Joe English. They released a third album, On the Edge, and toured extensively.
