About Scroobius Pip

Scroobius Pip (David Meads, born August 3, 1981) is a UK spoken word poet and hip hop recording artist from Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. The name “Scroobius Pip” is an intentional misspelling of the Edward Lear poem, The Scroobious Pip. He first gained prominence as one half of hip hop duo Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip sparked by their debut single ‘Thou Shalt Always Kill’.

Pip is also the creator of the ‘Distraction Pieces’ podcast, on which he introduced his song Introdiction. In these podcasts, he discusses current issues and topics with many guest speakers.
