Scootie Wop (Born March 20, 1998) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. A budding figure in CHH and pop music, Scootie Wop is credited with contributing to the South Carolina hip hop scene. He
gained his first recognition as a producer in Fader Magazine with his beat production for Moneybagg Yo’s “Mah Dawg.” With the intent to be a record producer, he then proceeded to work within the city.
In 2019, he dropped his debut solo project Street Certified. After that project he would release 4 more singles under the artist name Lil Sco before changing it in 2020.
Valentine’s Day 2020 would mark his first
official release under the name Scootie Wop with his R&B single “Body Language”. He would then go on to release 6 other singles that gained traction for the independent artist early in his career.
In 2020, he landed on the Reach Records Summer 2020 Playlist, featuring on Rockstar Jt and Duke Deuce’s hit song “Stick” that grossed well over two hundred thousand streams within the first two weeks of its release. Since then, Scootie Wop has continued to be successful in the hip-hop and R&B scenes, bringing a soulful sound with a personal message.
