About Saxon

Saxon, a New Wave Of British Heavy Metal band, was formed in 1977 in the town of South Yorkshire, England. One of the biggest bands to come out of the NWOBHM movement in the ‘80s, they have sold more than 13 million albums worldwide.

With their success, they have influenced many more metal bands, including Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Mötley Crue, Pantera, Dream Theater, Sodom, etc.
