Sanchez was born as Shin Jae Min (신재민) on October 17, 1986, in South Korea and emigrated to Aukland, New Zealand with his family as a child. He is the eldest of two siblings, with his younger brother being Korean rapper Microdot.

Shin is a rapper and singer who debuted in the Korean hip hop idol group Phantom in 2014 and was active with the group until their disbandment in 2017. The group was managed by Rainbow Bridge Entertainment and Brand New Music.
