St. Vitus is considered to be one of the first Doom Metal bands from Los Angeles, California started in the late 1970s as well as other Doom metal bands like Pentagram and Trouble. The band’s original lineup included drummer Armando Acosta, bassist Mark Adams, guitarist Dave Chandler, and vocalist Scott Weinrich for the most of their career. St. Vitus parted ways in 1996, but they got back together in 2008 after a brief reunion in 2003 for a tour.
