Ryuga was born on August 8, 1997 in Japan, and is a singer-songwriter who gained popularity in Japan and internationally, posting music on social networking sites while in high school in New York.

Since returning to Japan, he has expanded his experience by performing on various stages and writing and producing songs for other artists.

In 2018, he signed to avex and joined a duo by the name of まるりとりゅうが (MaRuRi to Ryuga) alongside MaRuRi; Ryuga serves as the songwriter and guitarist of the duo.
