Russell Wendell Simmons is an American entrepreneur, record producer and author. The chairman and CEO of Rush Communications, he cofounded the powerhouse record label Def Jam Recordings with superproducer Rick Rubin and founded the clothing fashion lines Phat Farm, Argyleculture, and Tantris. Simmons had a net worth estimated at $340 million in 2011. Simmons has produced songs for artists such as RUN DMC, Method Man and Jimmy Spicer, and is the uncle of Diggy Simmons.
