Born in Saginaw, MI on August 19th, 1987, Hip-Hop recording artist, Rushdee McCoy Williams, was born with a relentless passion for music. Coming from a family with a musical background, he began writing at an early age and realized that having a career in the music industry was more than a dream – It became his reality. Aside from musical influences such as Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Kanye West, The Clipse, Timbaland and Snoop Dogg, RushDee has always drawn inspiration from his life experiences. At the age of fifteen, RushDee dropped out of Arthur Hill High School due to substantial circumstances beyond his control. Through all the highs, the lows, his struggle and his triumph, his biggest inspiration was his father for making him the man he is today. “I walk with the lions, still fighting some demons/ Put faith in my angels, thank God I’m still breathing” as quoted from RushDee’s ‘State of the Union’ produced by The Chemist (WeTheBest/YMCMB) featured on TooSickMuzik.com.
As of October 2012, RushDee is currently working on his first LP entitled ‘Art by King’ with producers The Chemist (Lil’ Wayne ft. Rick Ross ‘Veterans Day’ and ‘So Gone’ – Wiz Khalifa), Jordan (Alley Boy’s ‘Offend You’) and Djay Cas (Young Jeezy’s ‘Bag Music’ and Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Keys to the City’) that is set to release in November 2013. It highlights aspects of RushDee’s personal life between a cross of retrospective ballads and a classic Hip-Hop vibe. Along with his reputable writing abilities, RushDee has also executively produced Saginaw’s own, Phe McWright’s fifth LP entitled ‘O.P.I.U.M.’ and Capacity’s first LP that is currently untitled.
In 2008, RushDee was in the Top 10 out of 1000 participants after competing in the running for OurStage.com’s contest to gain exposure from industry professionals. In May 2010, RushDee was featured on international pop recording artist Tiva Lee’s EP entitled, ‘Introducing Tiva Lee’. Since then, RushDee has been featured in a number of other independent projects including: an honorable mention in an interview with Djay Cas on JTPBeats.com and a feature on Phe McWrights ‘O.P.I.U.M.’ with an expected release date of December 2012.
With the release of his upcoming LP ‘Art by King’, RushDee will promote his upcoming release via Twitter, Facebook, and it will be for sale on iTunes in late 2013. He would like to land a distribution deal and eventually start an artist development company, which will enable him to partner with other entertainment industry professionals to create an innovative platform for artists to get the necessary training and development to advance their careers not only in the aspect of the performing arts, but by utilizing advanced marketing and branding strategies as well. “I ain’t out banging with the kids/ I’d rather make a dollar, make a mile out a inch.” You may have to stop and take a deep breath just from reading what RushDee Williams has accomplished to date – but he won’t! RushDee’s ideas, spark, talent and enthusiasm know no limits. He’s off and running again, bringing his abundant talents and tireless spirit to the next endeavor.
