RUI（2007年6月1日生）は、5人組ダンス＆ボーカルグループ STARGLOW のメンバーで、SKY-HIがCEOを務める日本の音楽プロダクションおよびレーベル「BMSG」に所属するトレーニーだった。福岡県出身・東京都育ち。祖母に勧められて歌を始め、小学生の頃からAvexアーティストアカデミー福岡・東京にて、本格的な歌とダンスのレッスンを受ける。並行して、雑誌『ニコ☆プチ』専属モデルとしても活動しながら、音楽への情熱を深めていった。2023年時点での身長は178cm（現在は非公開）。特技／趣味はフォートナイト（ピースコントロールが得意）と短距離走（足が速い）。

2021年、13歳でBMSGボーイズグループオーディション『THE FIRST』に参加。BE:FIRSTのメンバーには選ばれなかったものの、唯一無二の歌声と憑依型パフォーマンスで注目を集めた。審査中には各界のプロアーティストからも高評価を受けている。3次審査直前の視察では、工藤大輝（Da-iCE）が「あの子、めちゃくちゃやばかったですね」と驚きを語り、橘慶太（w-inds ）も「たぶん相当いいと思う。グルーヴもあったしね」と絶賛。疑似プロ審査で審査員のちゃんみなからは「目が離せない瞬間がとても多かった。一つひとつの動作や息遣い、眉の動き、目の表情に至るまで魂とリンクしていた。それが音楽にのって、まるで色がついているようにはっきりと感じられた。まだ13歳？信じられない。」と称賛されるなど、その表現力が大きな反響を呼んだ。

彼の才能に深く惚れ込んだSKY-HIは、RUIに直筆の誓約書を手渡すという異例の行動に出る。“まるでプロポーズのようなその一幕”は、本気度を象徴するエピソードとして今も語り継がれている。

その後、RUIはBMSGのトレーニー（練習生）として活動を開始し、THE FIRST FINALやBMSG FESS、BMSG TRAINEE SHOWCASE、オープニングアクト、野外フェスと数々のステージを経験。感情と技術が融合した歌声を武器に、着実に進化を続けている。

2024年最も再生した楽曲でTele「初恋」を挙げるほか、QUEENの来日公演への参戦、ビリー・アイリッシュの楽曲をライブで披露するなど、邦楽から洋楽、年代も問わず幅広い音楽を愛しており、自身の楽曲「Diamond」「夢の中で」「星が会うその日まで」には、RUIならではの感受性と音楽観が色濃く反映されている。

刃牙のトリケラトプス拳や鬼滅の刃の猗窩座のポーズを突然決めてTAIKIやKANONを困惑させるなど、お茶目でユーモアあふれる一面も持ち合わせている。

RUIは、TAIKI・KANONとの3人での楽曲活動も積極的に行っている。2024年には、三浦大知の楽曲「飛行船」をカバーし、その高い表現力が三浦大知ファンの間でも話題に。同年11月には、ポケモン公式アニメ『POKÉTOON』とのタイアップ曲「Forked Road」をリリース。前向きな歌詞と爽やかなサウンドを幅広い層へ届けた。2025年4月より放送されたオリジナルドラマ『ゲート・オン・ザ・ホライズン』では主演を務め、主題歌「GOTH」は重厚なヒップホップサウンドとダークな世界観を表現。これまでにない一面を見せ、大きな注目を集めた。

2025年BMSGの3組目のボーイズグループ結成を目指すオーディション「THE LAST PIECE」に参加中。クリエイティブ審査では「光 / Team C」を発表した。

RUI (born June 1, 2007) is the member of the 5-member dance and vocal group STARGLOW , and was a trainee under BMSG, a Japanese music label and production company led by CEO SKY-HI. Originally from Fukuoka and raised in Tokyo, he began singing on the recommendation of his grandmother. From a young age, he trained seriously in singing and dance at Avex Artist Academy in both Fukuoka and Tokyo. At the same time, he worked as an exclusive model for the magazine Nico☆Puchi, all while deepening his passion for music. As of 2023, his height was 178 cm (now undisclosed). His hobbies and special skills include sprinting (he’s a fast runner) and Fortnite, especially his strength in peace control.

In 2021, at the age of 13, he participated in THE FIRST, a boys group audition hosted by BMSG. Although he was not selected as a member of BE:FIRST, his one-of-a-kind voice and intense, immersive performance style drew widespread attention. He received high praise from professional artists across the industry. During the third-round evaluation, Da-iCE’s Daiki Kudo commented, “That kid was seriously amazing,” while w-inds .’ Keita Tachibana said, “I think he’s really something special. He had great groove.” In the simulated pro-audition round, CHANMINA remarked, “There were so many moments I couldn’t take my eyes off him. Every movement, breath, eyebrow shift, and expression was in sync with his soul. It was as if the music had color. He’s only 13? Unbelievable.”

So impressed by RUI’s talent, BMSG CEO SKY-HI personally handed him a handwritten contract—an unusual gesture that has become known as “a proposal-like moment” symbolizing SKY-HI’s sincerity and belief in him.

Since then, RUI has been active as a BMSG trainee, performing at numerous events including THE FIRST FINAL, BMSG FES, BMSG TRAINEE SHOWCASE, opening acts, and outdoor festivals. With a voice that blends emotion and technique, he continues to grow as an artist.

In 2024, he listed Tele’s Hatsukoi as his most-played song and attended QUEEN’s Japan tour. He also covered songs by Billie Eilish in live performances, showing his love for a wide range of music—across languages, eras, and genres. His original tracks like “Diamond”, “Yume no Naka de”, and “Hoshi ga Au Sono Hi Made” reflect his unique sensitivity and musical vision.
RUI also has a playful and humorous side—often surprising fellow trainees TAIKI and KANON with spontaneous poses like the Triceratops Fist from Baki or Akaza’s stance from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

He frequently collaborates with TAIKI and KANON on music projects. In 2024, the trio covered Daichi Miura’s Hikousen, gaining attention from Daichi’s fans for their expressive performance. That same year in November, they released “Forked Road”, a tie-in song with the official Pokémon anime “POKÉTOON”, delivering a refreshing sound and uplifting lyrics to listeners of all ages. In April 2025, RUI starred in the original drama Gate on the Horizon, with its theme song “GOTH” showcasing a darker, hip-hop-infused style—revealing a new side of him and drawing major attention.

He is currently participating in THE LAST PIECE, BMSG’s audition project to form their third boy group.During the creative round, he released the team song “Hikari / Team C”.
