Ruby Amanfu is a singer, songwriter and producer from Nashville, TN.
She was signed to Polydor Records in the UK and Murlyn Music Publishing across Europe in 2003 and released her debut album Smoke & Honey.
She continued to work with Murlyn Music as a songwriter until around 2006, getting placements with mostly UK and European artists.
In 2014, she joined Jack White’s both live and session all-female band “The Peacocks” and in 2016 he put her on backing vocals on the Beyoncé track “Don’t Hurt Yourself” from her acclaimed album Lemonade.
She has continued songwriting to the present, including several placements with her producer/songwriter husband Sam Ashworth on the I Used To Know Her EP from R&B singer H.E.R. in 2018.
