Ru Bando (born April 6, 1998) is an American MC and battle rapper from Brooklyn, New York. Starting his battling career in 2015 at just 17 years old on Jerry Wess’s 100K Battle League, he later advanced to battling on more prominent New York-based platforms, such as WeGoHardTV and iBattleTV. His performances on those leagues led to him entering URL’s Proving Grounds in 2018 with a battle against fellow WeGoHard MC DDub. Later, in 2020, Ru was entered as one of 16 battlers in Season 1 of Ultimate Madness, URL’s biggest tournament series, for a shot to compete on NOME X and a $25,000 cash prize. An underdog throughout the competition, Ru ended up becoming one of the final four MCs in the tournament, when he lost his semifinal matchup to Jey The Nitewing.
