Roxanne Shanté (born November 9, 1969) is a Queens, New York native battle rapper. She hit the rap scene in the mid-80s. She was a member of the Juice Crew and had a solo act as well.

Roxanne was directly involved with the 1980s' two biggest rap wars, The Roxanne Wars and The Bridge Wars.
