Rosita Serrano (born María Esther Aldunate del Campo, 10 June 1912 – 6 April 1997) was born in Chile, but moved to Berlin, Germany, to start her music career. She became loved worldwide, but her career ended up early after Germany (mid-WW2) labeled her as a traitor. She was banned from Germany and labeled to be arrested, although she never was. Rosita died in poverty in Chile in April 1997.
