Ron Angel was folk singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter from County Durham, UK. He was born on 26th Dec 1930 and died 17th Sep 2014.
Ron was a member of the Teesside Fettlers and a founder of the Sun Inn Folk Club in Stockton-on-Tees. His most famous song might be “The I.C.I. Song”, later covered by Great Big Sea and other bands, usually under the title of “The Chemical Worker’s Song”.
Ron has been noted as a mentor and inspiration by folk band The Young'uns.
