About Roger Alan Wade

Roger Alan Wade is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee.

As a professional songwriter with a career spanning over 20 years, Wade has penned hits for the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and George Jones; including co-writing with Hank Williams, Jr. the chart-topping, “Country State of Mind.”

Wade’s solo music is characterized by its stripped-down sound and accompanying lyrics that are fittingly raw and honest, in equal parts hysterical and soul-searing.

Wade gained prominence as a solo act through his association with first-cousin Johnny Knoxville, of Jackass and big-screen fame. Knoxville featured Wade’s music during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show—leading to frequent airplay on the show—and on the soundtracks of various Jackass projects. The duo currently hosts a weekly Sirius XM Radio show, entitled, “The Big-Ass Happy Family Jubilee,” a reference to a Wade song of the same name.
