Robo (Drummer)

Julio Roberto Valverde Valencia was a Colombian army defector who overstayed a student visa in 1975 to become a prominent drummer in American punk bands. Nicknamed “Robo” for the aggressive yet mechanized precision of his playing, he is most famous as an early member of hardcore pioneers Black Flag and later, Misfits.
