A native of Toronto, Robert Farnon (1917-2005) settled in England at the end of World War II, where he lived the rest of his life. Having spent the war arranging musical performances for the Canadian Army, he distinguished himself as a jazz trumpeter. However, after the war, he enjoyed prolific careers as a film composer, a composer of light orchestral music, and a conductor and arranger who worked with numerous famous singers. Late in his life, he turned to composing serious concert works, but he remains acclaimed for his more accessible works.
Robert Farnon's first song The Touch of Your Lips released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
