About RIRI

RIRI, born as Riri Arai (荒井梨里; Arai Riri) on November 5, 1999, is aJapanese pop/R&B singer-songwriter who debuted in 2016 with her digital single COLOR ME.

Arai gained an interest in singing at the age of four, inspired by American R&B artists such as Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston.

Her big break came in 2011, when she won the singing competition Next Generation Star, hosted by David Foster. The next year, she had her first performance in the United States, at The Dream Support Project Award ceremony. By 2016, she signed with her first agency, The Mic-a-holics Inc., and toured with Japanese-American singer-songwriter A.I.. The tour gave her some recognition in her native country, and led to the release of her GOLD, and, later, her debut single I love to sing.

In 2017, she left The Mic-a-holics Inc., and signed with Sony Music Japan, and debuted her major label album Rush and is currently with the agency as of 2020.
