The Riot Games Music Team is a collective of musicians aimed at curating and producing all music for Riot Games, especially their hit video game, League of Legends, as well as Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, and Wild Rift. The collective also curates and produces the music for their animated series Arcane. The music team specializes in both instrumental orchestrations and lyric-based overtures, including two metal albums under the name, Pentakill, K-Pop groups, K/DA and True Damage, and boy group HEARTSTEEL.
Annually, the team works with an artist to produce an anthem for the year’s League of Legends World Championships. Most notably, Imagine Dragons and Zedd collaborated with the music team to produce their songs, “Warriors” and “Ignite,” respectively. In 2017, they also collaborated with band, Against the Current, to produce the band’s most-renowned record, “Legends Never Die.”
The team is led by composers Sebastien Najand, Alex Temple, Jason Willey, Edouard Brenneisen, and Christian Linke, often collaborating with artist and producer, Alex Seaver, aka Mako.
