Rickard Goransson is a Swedish songwriter, record producer and musician and was a member of defunct Swedish band Carolina Liar. He is also the brother of Anton Goransson who works under TBHits production team Champagne Therapy.
During his time working under Carolina Liar, fronted by Chad Wolf, the band was one of the only ones signed by Max Martin’s production company Maratone for publishing purposes and worked with him and his team on both of their albums Coming to Terms and Wild Blessed Freedom. Due to underwelming performances in charts and live tours, the band initially thought of disbanding in 2011. Eventually, Rickard, alongside brothers Johan Carlsson and Peter Carlsson were recruited by Max Martin to become songwriters and producers under the newly-branded studio MXM Music and Productions in 2012.
Rickard first worked under the radar with new and upcoming artists of the time and was associated with the works of DJ Frank E and Ammo. In 2014, he began working directly with Max Martin, his first being on the hit collaboration “Bang Bang” and later LunchMoney Lewis’s solo breakthrough “Bills” the following year. He eventually went on to form an affiliation with fellow MXM and Wolf Cousins member Ilya Salmanzadeh and worked with many artists, including DNCE, Astrid S and Ariana Grande.
