Richard Russell (born March 18, 1971) is an English record producer from Dollis Hill, London. He’s the owner of British record label XL Recordings. He releases music under the moniker Everything Is Recorded.
After leaving school he DJed on pirate radio and worked for the Caroline label before relocating to New York to work in the Vinyl Mania record shop. On his return to the UK in 1990 he started to work for City Beat, before moving over to their sister label, XL Recordings as A&R manager. After label manager Nick Halkes quit, Russell became manager of the whole label.
When owner Tim Palmer, retired, Russell took full control of the label.
