Ric Jilla (born Eric C. Jones) is a rapper from Hammond, Indiana. He was a member of the Grind Family.
The original members of The Grind Family were Will $crilla and Soope (now Soope Da Roadrunna) from Gary, Ric Jilla from Hammond, and COB, C-Ghetto and Whissit Ave. from East Chicago. Ric Jilla only appeared on a few songs from the Grind Family’s “In The Grind We Trust” album released in 1999 on Will $crilla’s Ignat/Sluefoot record label.
Ric Jilla’s first solo release was the “Waddupdoe” E.P. in 2000. He released several more albums and mixtapes, including 2002’s “Free Agent”, 2004’s “Upgrade” and 2007’s “The Albulation Network”. His latest project was the “Both Sides” E.P. with Wayne Blazed, released in 2018.
