Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez (or simply ‘Regine Velasquez’) is a Filipino singer and actress.

She first signed a contract with Polycosmic Records in 1994, producing 8 albums before parting in 1997 and signing to VIVA Records, a Philippines record label.

She undertook a new acting career as she appeared in her first breakthrough film, “Wanted Perfect Mother” in 1996 as the lead role for the film.
