Two of K-pop’s most known girl groups, Red Velvet, and aespa, come to collaborate in December 2022 to spread Christmas cheer on their holiday single, “Beautiful Christmas.” The song is a part of SMTOWN’s 2022 SMCU PALACE project.

It was announced that both groups would be collaborating on December 10th, 2022 through their social media posts with the cover to their single. From then on, both social media accounts teased the song through concept photos, and eventually their music video teaser.
