Richard “Red” Skelton (1913-1997) began working at an early age in burlesque and vaudeville, where he honed a comedy style based heavily on mugging and slapstick. He took up television early in the medium’s history, and his variety program The Red Skelton Show ran from 1951 to 1971. Before that, he also had thriving careers in radio and film.
Red Skelton's first song I Love an Esquire Girl released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
