Rebecca Black (born June 21, 1997) is an American YouTuber and singer-songwriter. She gained attention from the media by releasing her big hit single, “Friday” in 2011.

After releasing “Friday”, Black continued to upload videos on her YouTube channel, in which she uploads song covers. She stopped releasing music for a while, in an interview with KTLA 5, Rebecca said:

I took the time to go back to High School, figure out what I really wanted to do and what kind of music I wanted to make.

Six years later, Black returned to music. She released her debut EP, RE / BL on September 15, 2017.
