April 21, 1925-May 23, 2016. Raymond A. “Dutch” Wolff served from 1943-1945 as a musician in the 26th Special Services Company in WWII; graduated from Oberlin Conservatory in 1951; taught music at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA from 1952-1954; played alto sax and clarinet in NYC and became Leader and saxophonist of the Dutch Wolff Orchestra (with whom he had an un-credited appearance as the bandleader in the 1984 movie Old Enough) from 1975 to his death in 2016, four years after he and fellow musicians joined to record his 1952 song, “It’s Halloween.”
