About RAY BLK

RAY BLK is singer, songwriter from Catford, South London, though she was born in Nigeria. Between studying for her degree and music, she released her first mixtape Havisham , working too alongside to support her music financially.

However unfortunately due to the samples on mixtape she was unable to release it for retail. Working with Big 6ix, who has also worked extensively with Stormzy. She released a collaboration “My Hood” featuring a guest verse from fellow South Londoner, Stormzy. This was in anticipation of her debut EP Durt.

Between the release of “My Hood” and the EP released she received her first nod, nominated for “Best Newcomer” at the 2016 MOBOs. Also at start of the year she was announce as BBC’s Sound of 2017. The year is looking bright for RAY BLK riding off mainstream acknowledgement.
