When all musicians hit their creative blocks at the peak of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the soloist
whose full name is Rasyiqa Tharifa turned such momentum into her entrance into the Indonesian music landscape instead. Born in September 1996, the female artist grew up with the biggest femme names inpop-rock that once dominated the country and the global music scene in the 2000s – some of them wereMichelle Branch, M2M, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Natalie Imbruglia and Melly Goeslaw.
In September 2021, the Jakarta native began her musical passage, coinciding with her 25th birthday, by independently dropping her single “Reckless”. Rasyiqa’s next outings, which include “Get Up (Get Out!)”,“I’ve Had Enough” and"2:15 (Steph’s Song)“, have not only showcased her potency as a wildly imaginative songsmith, but also further honed her musical direction that is akin to an intersection between the peak MTV days and the musical modernity that demands timeless creativity. As a songwriter, Rasyiqa has always been adamant at jotting down what she has learned as a person who lives and breathes in a constantly changing world – be it either every sage wisdom that she could rhapsodize with her guitar or any gut-wrenching truth perfect for a late-night soundtrack.
In addition, Rasyiqa is working on her debut
album which is set to release in the final quarter of 2023.
The most popular song by Rasyiqa's is Get Up (Get Out!)
Rasyiqa's first song Get Up (Get Out!) released on Fri Mar 18 2022.
