Ralph Chaplin was a songwriter and labor activist, best known for writing the union anthem Solidarity Forever in 1915.
He worked on strike committees with Mother Jones in the 1910s, and was active in the IWW, writing the union’s newsletter Solidarity.
Chaplin was imprisoned during World War I under the espionage act, along with many other labor organizers.
